The NFL regular season ended yesterday, and that means today the heads were rolling. A slew of big-name coaches are out of jobs after lackluster seasons, ESPN reports. Including…

  • Andy Reid: To the surprise of exactly no one, the coach who won more games than any other in Eagles history has been let go. "He is someone I respect greatly," the team's owner said in a statement. "But it is time for the Eagles to move in a new direction." The team went 4-12.

  • Lovie Smith: The Bears finished a respectable 10-6, but missed the playoffs despite a 7-1 start. That disappointment will be enough to seal Smith's fate, sources say. "I think it's going to be a sad day at Halas Hall," Jay Cutler said on his radio show. "Wish I could have done more [on] offensive to help him out."
  • Norv Turner: The Chargers are cleaning house, ousting both Turner and GM AJ Smith. It was no surprise for Turner, who still has one year and $3 million on his contract. "I'm sure they'll start looking for a new coach," he said after yesterday's win over Oakland. The team finished 7-9.
  • Romeo Crennel: The Chiefs' CEO said he respected Crennel, but "I am embarrassed by the poor product we gave our fans this season." (The team went 2-14). GM Scott Pioli, on the other hand, will avoid the axe.
  • And more: The Jets fired GM Mike Tannenbaum, but are keeping Rex Ryan around. The Jaguars likewise dropped GM Gene Smith. The Bills cut Chan Gailey loose, and GM Buddy Nix may be sent packing as well. And sources say the Browns will fire Pat Shurmur.
