A Georgia teenager has been convicted of murder in a particularly jarring case: Jurors say De'Marquise Elkins, now 18, shot a baby in a stroller during an attempted robbery, reports AP. His accused accomplice, 15-year-old Dominique Lang, will be tried next, also as an adult. Police say the teens pulled a gun on Sherry West as she walked her 13-month-old son, Antonio Santiago, in Brunswick. Elkins allegedly shot both the baby and West, in her leg, during the altercation. He faces life in prison but is not eligible for the death penalty because he was 17 at the time of the shooting. (More Georgia stories.)
