George Lopez has been charged with battery after scuffling with an apparent Trump supporter in New Mexico. Their accounts differ, but it happened at a Hooters in October, and the still-unidentified victim shot their encounter on a video posted by TMZ. According to police, Lopez says he was chilling with the crew of his upcoming faith-based film Walking With Herb when the guy baited him by putting an arm on the actor's shoulder and saying, "MAGA," USA Today reports. When the guy tried filming Lopez and company leaving the restaurant later, the actor apparently admits to reaching for the phone and grabbing the man.

For his part, the alleged victim says he requested a photo from Lopez, who recorded his crotch area, deleted the video, and gave the phone back. The man also says he was assaulted when trying to film Lopez later on. Lopez's disdain for President Trump runs so deep that in July he simulated peeing on Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star with a water bottle, TMZ reports. (Trump has lauded a Congress member who body-slammed a reporter.)
