Megan McAllister visited her fiancé, accused Craigslist killer Philip Markoff, in jail yesterday, sans engagement ring, WBZ 4 reports. "It's time to move on with other things in her life," her lawyer says. "She's going to take up her life with her friends and her family in New Jersey. I don't expect her to return in the near future." Meanwhile, police told ABC they found 16 pairs of panties in the couple's apartment.

In addition to the panties, 60 pairs of plastic restraints and duct tape were found under Markoff's bed, near the handgun found earlier, ABC adds. McAllister says she still loves her fiancé and supports him, and her lawyer insists that while the August wedding is off, the engagement isn't. But friends and family realize, he notes, that "if some of these allegations were in fact true, this may have been a situation where she was fortunate."
