Last night's win over the Tigers was the Cleveland Indians' 20th in 25 games, raising them to a tie with Boston for the best record in baseball, and taking them one step closer to clinching the American League Central division title. Indians ace C.C. Sabathia improved to 18-7, and closer Joe Borowski notched his league-leading 42nd save, reports the AP.

Cleveland's Casey Blake swatted his 18th homer, his third this week. The Tigers led early before watching the Indians rally for the win, just as they did in the first two games of the series. The team that once led the AL Central and the AL wild-card race now trails Cleveland by 7½ games and the wild-card leading Yankees by five. (More MLB stories.)
