Sports / NBA WRAP/Duncan Has 21 in Spurs Win Blazers edge Clippers, Lakers shoot 61% in thrashing of Sonics By Katherine Thompson, Newser Staff Posted Mar 22, 2008 5:23 AM CDT Copied Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, left, dribbles past Seattle SuperSonics' Damien Wilkins in Los Angeles, Friday, March 21, 2008. Bryant scored 23 points in the Lakers' 130-105 win. (Associated Press) Perhaps still bristling from their recent four-game losing streak, the Spurs lashed out at the Kings in a 102-89 victory that saw the defending champions get back on track. Tim Duncan amassed 21 points and 10 rebounds, but it was a balanced team effort that overcame Ron Artest's 23 points for Sacramento, the Sacramento Bee reports. Elsewhere in the NBA: LaMarcus Aldridge led his Trail Blazers to a 107-102 victory over a late-threatening Clippers team with 22 points and 12 rebounds, eclipsing Cuttino Mobley's 24 points off the bench. When Lamar Odom had collected 10 points and eight rebounds in the first quarter alone, Seattle's 130-105 loss to the Lakers became all but inevitable. (More NBA stories.) Report an error
