Sarah Palin's not the only one who can go rogue: Karl Rove today called out the former Alaska governor, Lisa Murkowski, Christine O'Donnell, the Tea Party in general, and possibly the literacy of Alaskans in particular, reports Politico. Let the games begin:

  • Murkowski's write-in effort is “sad and sorry,” and there's "no way" she'll win, perhaps because Alaskans can't spell or because of her surname: “Under the law, you have to carefully spell the name exactly correct. Now everyone go to your pencil and paper and write the name 'Murkowski' and see if you got it right.”

  • If Sarah Palin likes Christine O'Donnell so much, she should put her money where her mouth is, said a mocking Rove, who considers O'Donnell unelectable: "If she wants to demonstrate her political power, go to Delaware and take this candidate and get her across the finish line by campaigning with her.”
  • Speaking of O'Donnell, rather than dodging the media, she might want to explain her little witchcraft gaffe: "A lot of churchgoing people are going to want to know what was that all about, and again she said it on the Bill Maher show and my view is she can't simply ignore it. She’s got to deal with it and explain it.”
  • On the Tea Party: “Fresh,” “new” and “a little unsophisticated at times, a little insistent, a little demanding.” Politico notes the implication: Its wins have come over shoddy candidates.
