An 18-year-old Nebraska mom and her boyfriend will serve time for taping the teen's toddler to a wall with duct tape. The couple then snapped pictures of the boy as the terrified toddler sobbed, reports the Daily Mail. They also taped his sippy cup to the wall just out of his reach before they decided to use the duct tape on him. The young lovers were high after a night of partying and pulled the cruel stunt for their entertainment and not to discipline the boy, according to police. "They did it because they thought it was funny," said the local police chief. They were arrested after the mom showed off photos to a friend.

"What makes it shocking is that it's a matter of common sense that a parent would protect her child from humiliation and abuse," the judge told mom Jayla Hamm, who was sentenced to 10 days in jail and probation for negligent child abuse, reports the Lincoln Journal Star. Beau Corde Honea was sentenced to up to 60 months for intentional child abuse. The little boy has been placed in state custody. "I can't fully believe what happened. I do take full responsibility," said Hamm. "I do find it even more troubling that I can do that." Click here to see the awful photos.
