Supporters of Al Qaeda have attacked Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera for selectively airing critical remarks by Osama bin Laden this week in which he blasts Iraqi insurgent groups for being too splintered. Critics called for the broadcaster to air the entire tape, which also includes praise for the groups.

"It's not about Al Jazeera, it's about their shock from bin Laden" and his criticism, said one analyst. A number of Sunni tribal groups in Iraq have begun to battle against Al Qaeda to prevent it from grabbing power and imposing Taliban-like rules, reports the AP. (More al-Jazeera stories.)
