One Airline Passenger, Two Faces

Staff on an Air Canada flight were presumably more than a little surprised when a passenger went into a toilet looking like Mr. Magoo and emerged looking like a young Asian man. The man filed a refugee claim and was taken into custody when the flight from Hong Kong arrived in Vancouver, CNN reports. He told officials he only had one bag, but border officers found two more, one of them containing a disguise kit with a silicone mask and brown cardigan.

The passenger switched boarding passes with an American citizen before boarding the flight and used a frequent flier card as identification, say Canadian officials, who called the case an "unbelievable case of concealment." The man admitted the ruse to border officers and donned the disguise for them, even mimicking the movements of an elderly man. The switch points out one more possible headache for security agents at airports around the world.
