Genarlow Wilson is home and, far from being bitter, making plans to help others learn from his mistakes. "I feel I have a testimony to share," he said on this morning's "Today" show. Wilson, 21, was freed Friday after serving 2 years of a 10-year term for having consensual oral sex with another minor when he was 17.
Dismissing self-pity, Wilson is focused on the positive side of his experience: “It definitely taught me valuable lessons," he said. "It’s something I want to share. I plan to help educating teens." Wilson plans to work with My5th.org, a nonprofit his lawyer established to educate young people about their constitutional rights. (More Genarlow Wilson stories.)
