Home has been anything but sweet for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs, who were loudly booed by the home crowd, dropped their fourth game in five chances at the Air Canada Centre with an embarrassing 7-1 loss to Washington. Goalie Vesa Toskala was pulled in the first after allowing four goals on 13 shots, reports The Globe and Mail.

Toronto has had nine home games in October, the most of any team, but were only able to win three and were outscored 41-32 in those contests. Capitals scoring-machine Alex Ovechkin netted two, bringing his season total to eight. Matt Bradley added a goal and two assists and net minder Olaf Kolzig stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced.
