Tyrone Hanson, the Nevada basketball player who was robbed and severely beaten at a Halloween party that ended in three deaths, has been removed from the UNR basketball team for disobeying his coach. Mark Fox explained that Hanson "violated our policy by going out socially that evening while he had been directed not to," reports the AP.

Hanson, who was hospitalized for his injuries but was not thought to be involved in the shootings at the party, accepted Fox's decision and thanked his coach "for helping me understand what it means to be a man." Hanson averaged 1.6 points and 1.0 rebounds in eight minutes per game for the Wolf Pack. (More Nevada Wolf Pack stories.)
