The super-nasty bacteria Staphylococcus aureaus were found on gingerbread made by Rolf's Patisserie and sold at Whole Foods in 23 states, reports NPR, causing a recall on Christmas Eve. The bakery has been linked to four food poisoning incidents that caused about 100 people to get sick, sparking a recall of all treats made by Rolf's since Nov. 1.

Symptoms of staph poisoning include nausea, cramps, and vomiting. Sickness usually hits within a few hours and lasts up to three days. But it can be tough to know if the treats on your table came from Rolf's, as Whole Foods and other retailers often sell the goods under their own store labels.
