A Pennsylvania man rushing home after hearing his daughter had suffered a seizure collided almost head-on … with the ambulance that was transporting the little girl. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt, WNEP reports. The four-year-old girl, who was not injured in the Friday night crash, was taken to the hospital along with her father and his passenger, the ambulance driver, and an EMT.

The ambulance was badly damaged, but officials say emergency vehicles are designed to withstand heavy impact, and that because a smaller driver was behind its wheel, his injuries were minimized. “There's severe damage to the truck, there's no doubt about it,” says the volunteer ambulance chief, “but the patient was never in jeopardy, the stretcher and everything stayed right where it should.”
