How quickly golden-voiced homeless man Ted Williams went from celebrated comeback story … to scandalous Entertainment Tonight headline. Williams and his daughter went on the show last night to talk about Monday night’s run-in with the LAPD, which resulted in Williams being detained. Williams was in California for an episode of Dr. Phil, airing today, in which he reunited with his estranged wife and five of his daughters, E! reports—and apparently one of those daughters didn’t take the reunion so well.

Williams says 29-year-old Janey hit him after the family got into an argument at a hotel, the New York Daily News reports. “Fists got to flying—none of which were mine," said Williams, who was sporting scratches on his face and nose. He claims Janey threatened to sell his story. For her part, Janey claims dear old dad is still drinking: “He's consumed at least a bottle of Grey Goose a night, at least. That's not including the Coronas he orders, that's not including the Budweisers he orders, that's not including the other alcohol, the wines.” Click for more, and to watch video clips from the interview.
