(AP Photo/M. Spencer Green) An Illinois appeals court struck Rahm Emanuel's name from Chicago’s mayoral ballot today, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. In a 2-1 ruling, the court declared that Emanuel hadn’t met the residency requirements to run. “We order that the candidate’s name be excluded (or if necessary, be removed) from the ballot,” the justices wrote. “It’s a surprise,” Emanuel’s lawyer said. He's expected to use the dissenting judge's opinion to appeal the case to the Illinois Supreme Court. Click here for background on Rahm's residency woes.
