US to Citizens in Egypt: Leave
An Israeli passenger coming from Egypt, who declined to give his name , walks with a luggage trolley at Ben Gurion airport , near Tel Aviv, Israel, Saturday, Jan 29. 2011. A subsidiary of Israel's national airline has whisked dozens of Israelis, including families of Israeli diplomats, out of Egypt....   (Dan Balilty)

Americans in Egypt should leave the country ASAP, said the US Embassy in Cairo today, joining a flurry of nations to call for their citizens to flee as Egypt enters its sixth day of protests. The move comes, notes the AP, as Egyptians and foreigners alike clog Egypt's waning number of tickets out—The curfew forced Egypt Air to cancel 25 flights today, as staff were unable or too afraid to get to work.

In a twist, Iraq is offering to evacuate its citizens—many of whom had fled violence in their home country—for free. The US hasn't sent in special flights to retrieve nationals, and the only US carrier, Delta Air Lines, has halted service. Countries including China, France, Germany, Belgium, and Russia have advised their citizens against travel to Egypt.
