Politics | Ron Paul Conservative Group Kicks Out Ron Paul 'Rep. Paul is clearly off his meds,' says director By Evann Gastaldo Posted Feb 13, 2011 1:32 PM CST Copied Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, pauses as he speaks at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, Friday, Feb. 11, 2011. (AP Photo/Alex Brandon) Ron Paul may have won the CPAC straw poll, but Young Americans for Freedom apparently doesn’t care. The conservative activist group booted Paul from its national advisory board over a disagreement on national security issues and a dispute regarding Paul’s anti-war activities, Politico reports. "It's a sad day in American history when a one-time conservative/libertarian stalwart has fallen more out of touch with America's needs for national security than our current socialist presidential regime," says the group's national director. "Rep. Paul is clearly off his meds and must be purged from public office. YAF is starting the process by removing him from our national advisory board. Good riddance and he won't be missed," the director continues. Politico calls YAF a “prominent” group, but Paul’s political director says, “I hadn't heard of YAF doing anything in years, I thought they were defunct. Young Americans for Liberty is the group of the future.” Read These Next Kristi Noem is catching some flak over her new home. Hillary might nominate Trump for a Nobel if he ends war.
