It's back to jail for Lindsay Lohan. Maybe. The actress was sentenced to 120 days for violating her probation by taking a designer necklace. But the judge had earlier reduced her theft charge from a felony to a misdemeanor, a move that may have set in motion what has become a familiar cycle for Lohan—being sent to jail only to have the sentence cut short due to jail overcrowding. Lohan's attorney filed a notice of appeal right before court closed, clearing the way for the actress to be released on bail.

Lohan was also sentenced to 480 hours of community service, including time at the county morgue and 360 hours at a women's shelter, reports TMZ. Lohan did not visibly react to the sentence, though she had cried earlier in the day. It was the fourth time Lohan has been sentenced to jail, although two of the trips amounted to a few hours. Last summer, she spent 14 days in jail on a 90-day sentence. (More Lindsay Lohan stories.)
