Gabrielle Giffords Boards Plane for Fla.

Gabrielle Giffords is indeed on her way to Florida to see husband Mark Kelly lift off Friday aboard the shuttle Endeavour. Video shot from a distance shows Giffords boarding a plane in Houston, slowly but on her own two feet, reports KHOU-TV. It's the first public image of Giffords since January's shooting. "It's something she's been looking forward to for a long time," said Kelly, who is already at Cape Canaveral, notes the AP. "She's been working really hard to make sure that her doctors would permit her to come. She's more than medically ready to be here, and she's excited about making this trip."
