Church to Honor Prayer Request for Osama

A Catholic man in Florida is testing his fellow parishioners capacity for forgiveness this weekend: Henry Borga paid $10 to have the name Osama bin Laden entered in the church bulletin for Sunday prayers at the Holy Name of Jesus church, reports WPTV in West Palm Beach. "He needs forgiveness and compassion from God," says Borga. The church pastor intends to go ahead with the prayer despite critics.

"Their hearts are troubled because they're thinking emotionally about what he has done and he has done a lot of evil," says Father Gavin Badway. "Nevertheless, Jesus tells us, love and forgive." Another church member sees it differently: "It's sacrilegious," says Lois Pizzano. "He doesn't belong in the Catholic religion. For what he did to Americans, he doesn't belong anywhere."
