The death of two sisters and their parents at their San Diego home has been ruled a murder-suicide, likely by the father. The bodies of Priscilla Pimienta, who was just a month away from her high school graduation, and her baby sister, 9-year-old Emily, were found in the family pool along with the corpse of their dad, Alfredo. Their mom's body was found in a bathtub in the house. The dead in the pool were first spotted by a relative who had been called to the home by Alfredo Pimienta to "discuss business," said police. Alfredo left behind a note about his financial difficulties and added instructions on how to dispose of the family assets, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Pimienta owned a towing company, and was a co-defendant in a lawsuit charing investment fraud, reports the San Diego Union Tribune. The plaintiff won a $7 million judgment in the suit. “They’re the nicest tenants we ever had,” said the Pimientas' landlord. “They seemed like great parents, that’s why we rented to them.” Stunned friends and relatives yesterday were leaving flowers at a makeshift memorial outside the house. "There is no one like her," said a classmate of Priscilla. "How could this happen? They didn't deserve this." (More Alfredo Pimienta stories.)
