Archeologists Raise Blackbeard's Anchor

Blackbeard's flagship is again reaching the surface, bit by bit. Archeologists today raised one of the anchors from the remains of the renowned pirate's Queen Anne's Revenge, which sank off the coast of North Carolina in 1718, reports AP. More lies below, including what's left of the hull, a half-dozen cannon, and a plank. (Maybe the plank?) The state plans to display artifacts from the ship, first discovered in 1996, in a maritime museum. Earlier, archeologists pulled up what they think was Blackbeard's sword. (More Blackbeard stories.)
