Not content to boast one of the best live shows on planet Earth, U2 went even further for a cameo during a recent concert. Space shuttle Endeavour commander Mark Kelly delivered a message to his wife, Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, during the band's concert Saturday night at Seattle's Qwest Field, reports AP.

Bono dedicated the song "Beautiful Day" to Giffords, then told the audience, "Imagine a man looking down on us from 200 miles up. Looking down at our beautiful crowded planet. What would he say to us? What is on your mind, Commander Kelly?" The astronaut then appeared on a video monitor with a message recorded during the recent mission to the International Space Station. He quoted lyrics from David Bowie's "Space Oddity," saying, "Tell my wife I love her very much." Endeavour had, of course, already returned from its final mission, so Kelly could relay the message himself. (More Mark Kelly stories.)
