When Gennette Cordova saw the now-infamous photo of Anthony Weiner’s wiener on her Twitter account, “it didn’t make any sense,” she says. “I figured it must have been a fake.” Up until then, her online relationship with Weiner had never verged into sexual territory, she insists, although she would only reveal a portion of their communication to the New York Times.

The 21-year-old college student says they only talked about politics and Weiner’s online critics, who had been harassing her ever since the congressman started following her on Twitter. “I have not sent him any suggestive messages,” she says, and she was taken aback when she received his photo. Though Weiner, at his Monday news conference, said the picture was “part of a joke,” Cordova says, “I still didn’t get the joke part of it.” Click to meet three of Weiner’s other e-lady friends.
