(AP Photo/Mary Altaffer, file) Eliot Spitzer is being forced out again—this time from his TV show. CNN has canceled In The Arena and will fill its 8pm time slot with Anderson Cooper's AC360, reports the Huffington Post. In The Arena was itself a replacement for Parker Spitzer, which the former New York governor co-hosted with Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker before she quit earlier this year. "We are in discussions with Eliot Spitzer about an alternative role," says a CNN staff memo. "We thank him and the entire In The Arena team for creating a program that moved many political and economic issues into the national spotlight." The change is part of a shake-up to CNN's evening schedule, which will also include a new show hosted by Erin Barnett. Spitzer's statement: "We engaged serious people in conversations about national and global issues in a way that was informative and challenging. ... I thoroughly enjoyed my time at CNN."
