Rebecca Black isn't the only one who got noticed in her Friday video: Her friend Benni Cinkle became an Internet sensation in her own right as "that girl in pink" dancing next to her. She's been endlessly photoshopped and turned into animated GIFs, but good luck if you're out to make fun of her. Tom Blunt at the Hairpin writes that the now-14-year-old has handled it all with humility, grace, and a nice sense of humor. She's also using her newfound fame to help charity.

"She has danced (less awkwardly) with a flash mob for Japan relief, walked for cystic fibrosis, and auctioned her artwork to benefit the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity," writes Blunt. She also has her own website and, yes, a single of her own coming out soon. "Rebecca and I just thought the whole thing was crazy," she says. Click to read Blunt's Q&A with Benni and her mom. Or here to read why you can't watch that once-ubiquitous Friday video anymore. (More Benni Cinkle stories.)
