Microsoft's new Zune digital music players have been flying off the shelves, reports PC World. Microsoft,  which seems to have seriously misjudged demand for the best-selling model, the Zune 80, said the shortages will be over in around a week.

The Zune has been dubbed "iPod killers," and despite only mediocre reviews briefly took over the top of Amazon's bestseller list last week. Apple doesn't seem to be too worried about the new contender—-believing that it's only going to take market share from other wannabes. "No-one is going to touch Apple", said one market analyst.
