Someone tweeted an LA sheriff station's phone number on the Game's Twitter account last night, encouraging all 580,000 of his followers to call for an internship—and incidentally jamming emergency lines for two hours. The rapper appears to be backtracking, notes the LA Times, suggesting that, ahem, he was hacked or maybe, just maybe, the tweet was a mistake. "Yall can track a tweet down but cant solve murders !" he tweeted in response to a police spokesman's tweet telling him to take the post down. "Dat was an accident but maybe now yall can actually do yall job !!!! #iSpeak4ThePeople"

"This was beyond irresponsible," says the police spokesman. "The deputies' ability to answer the phones and dispatch personnel to help these people in danger was significantly impeded." Police have opened a criminal investigation. (More The Game stories.)
