The White House has signed up on Foursquare, just in time for President Obama's bus tour of Midwestern states, reports Mashable. The White House says the president will be regularly checking in, "and now you’ll be able to discover 'tips' from the White House featuring the places President Obama has visited, what he did there, plus historical information, and more." Check out the White House account here.
The president is probably now the social network's most famous user, although plenty more politicians can be expected to check in as the 2012 race heats up, notes Tech Crunch, which says the move looks like the work of Obama 2012's new chief technology officer, former Threadless CTO Harper Reed.
