Rick Perry: I'm Not Convinced About Global Warming

Maybe we'll see a cage match between Al Gore and Rick Perry. The GOP presidential hopeful told an audience of New Hampshire business owners that he isn't convinced humans have contributed to global warming, reports the National Journal. “I do believe that the issue of global warming has been politicized," he said. "I think there are a substantial number of scientists who have manipulated data so that they will have dollars rolling into their projects."

It's not smart to spend money on a "theory that has not been proven and from my perspective is more and more being put into question," he added. His stance is in direct contrast to Mitt Romney's on the issue, but it's not a new one for Perry, notes ABC News. "Virtually every day another scientist leaves the global warming bandwagon," he said in 2007. "But you won't read about that in the press because they have already invested in one side of the story."
