Addiction and recovery site The Fix has what it bills as “Russell Armstrong’s Final Interview,” although it’s actually a recounting of a business meeting the Real Housewives husband had with site founder Maer Roshan two months before his suicide. Roshan paints Armstrong, who was interested in investing in the site, as self-assured, upbeat, and truly passionate about recovery, a far cry from the distant “cad” presented on Real Housewives. Armstrong himself, Roshan notes, called the show "bullshit" and his persona on it a "pathetic stock character" created by "evil" Bravo "bastards." Writes Roshan, "In person he was bright, self-deprecating and even funny."

But Roshan also includes some less-than-complimentary tidbits, including the fact that Armstrong and his colleague tossed back five alcoholic drinks while Roshan and his partner stuck to Diet Cokes, yet Armstrong suggested splitting the bill. But he notes that in the weeks following the sit-down, Armstrong continued acting like “his usual cocky self,” never depressed, though he does add that a mutual friend alerted him a few days before the suicide that Armstrong was “in a bad place.” Click for the full account, which also includes Armstrong’s sister blaming the whole mess on his wife, Taylor.
