Did Moammar Gadhafi have a thing for Condoleezza Rice? It sure looks that way: Rebel looters found a photo album in Gadhafi’s compound filled with page after page of photos of Rice, MSNBC reports. Rice visited Libya in 2008 to celebrate what was supposed to be a new stage in US-Libyan relations, the Washington Post recalls, but Gadhafi was a fan even before that.

In a 2007 al-Jazeera interview, Gadhafi gave a quote that looks just a bit creepier in hindsight. “I support my darling black African woman," he said. "I admire and am very proud of the way she leans back and gives orders to the Arab leaders ... Leezza, Leezza, Leezza. ... I love her very much. I admire her and I'm proud of her because she's a black woman of African origin.” (More Moammar Gadhafi stories.)
