President Obama’s half-uncle was in court today on drunk-driving charges—and he seemed to find the media's attention rather funny, notes the Boston Herald, which describes him as giggling and "stifling laughter" a number of times. Accompanied by attorneys and an unidentified man, Onyango Obama made a very brief appearance in the Massachusetts court, where the judge set a pre-trial conference for Nov. 17. The elder Obama, who is an illegal immigrant, has returned to his job at a liquor store and is “doing well,” his attorney said. Click to see a video of his appearance, which unfortunately doesn't capture his merriment. (More Onyango Obama stories.)
