Those poor Winklevoss twins. First courts forced them to stick with their original $65 million settlement with Facebook, and now a court has declared that they must actually pay their lawyer for negotiating it. The twins had tried to get out of paying their law firm its $13 million contingency fee, accusing it of malpractice. But first an arbitration panel and then a New York court judge dismissed that argument, and today a New York appellate court told them they’d gotten enough due deliberation, the Hollywood Reporter reports. Ah well. Maybe their next lawsuit against Facebook will go better.
