Politics | Michele Bachmann 2012 Ex-Bachmann Staffers Pen Angry Letter New Hampshire team says it was mistreated By Neal Colgrass Posted Oct 24, 2011 7:16 PM CDT Copied Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., speaks to the media following a plant tour at Amend Packing Co., Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, in Des Moines, Iowa. (AP Photo/Charlie Neibergall) Michele Bachmann's former staffers in New Hampshire fired off a scathing letter today explaining why they walked out last week, The Hill reports. “The manner in which some in the national team conducted themselves towards Team-N.H. was rude, unprofessional, dishonest, and at times cruel,” the joint letter says. “Team members were repeatedly ignored regarding simple requests, sometimes going weeks with little or no contact with the national team." The ex-workers also describe a different timeline than one reported by Team Bachmann, saying New Hampshire campaign manager Jeff Chidester quit 10 days ago. When no one responded to concerned staffers, they say, they walked out. The workers were "relegated to second-class citizens within a campaign in which they were the original members,” according to the letter. Bachmann's camp initially denied the desertion, then claimed it was no biggy, saying they always planned to focus on the Iowa primary.
