Jon Stewart tackled the Penn State sex abuse scandal last night, in a segment Raw Story calls “short but devastating." After ripping the “6-foot, 5-inch adult eyewitness” who “walked in on Sandusky raping a child” for not stopping the situation and/or calling the police, Stewart laid into the Penn State students who rioted over the ouster of Joe Paterno (using a Catholic Church-and-its-own-scandal comparison): "No one’s trying to take away your religion, in this case football," Stewart said, closing with these poignant lines, "So don’t worry, on Saturday, you’ll still get to go to services against Nebraska. No one’s going to take that away. Because obviously you’re young, and that would be a traumatic experience, and we wouldn’t want that memory to scar you for life." (More Mike McQueary stories.)
