A Texas judge whose shocking beating of his disabled teenage daughter went viral is now battling for visitation rights with his younger child. William Adams filed paperwork this week to lift a temporary restraining order banning him from visits with his 10-year-old daughter unless he obtains permission from his ex-wife, reports the Los Angeles Times. Adams' daughter Hilary posted a video last month of her dad beating her with a belt in 2004. The tape has been viewed by 6 million. Hillary said she waited to post the film until she, her sister and mom no longer shared a home with Adams. A custody hearing is scheduled for next week. Adams has taken a leave from the bench, and may face disciplinary penalties by a judicial conduct review panel. (More William Adams stories.)
