Fallon's Drummer: Sorry About That Bachmann Song

Most of today's buzz about Michele Bachmann's appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show last night wasn't so much about her yukking it up with the host but about the song that Fallon's band played as she entered. The Roots chose Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass Bitch," and now drummer Questlove is stepping back a bit, notes ABC. “The performance was a tongue-in-cheek and spur of the moment decision," he says. "The show was not aware of it and I feel bad if her feelings were hurt. That was not my intention."

Before the show aired last night, Questlove (an Obama fan) was teasing fans and encouraging them to watch via Twitter: “late night walkon song devotees: you love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title.” No reaction from the Bachmann camp, but Fallon tweeted, "@Questlove is grounded.” See the video in the gallery at left, from Mediaite.
