Has America had enough of the Palins? Sarah Palin and producer Mark Burnett have been trying to sell a follow-up series to TLC's Sarah Palin's Alaska focusing on Todd Palin's career as a snowmobile racer—but networks aren't buying, according to the Hollywood Reporter. TLC owner Discovery Communication has passed, and A&E—which lost a bidding war with TLC for Palin's earlier show—has also said no, sources say.
The networks are turned off both by the asking price for the new series—believed to be at least $1 million per episode—as well as the Palins' declining star power, sources say. “I think it’s safe to say her time has passed," says a network insider. Sarah Palin still has her $1 million per year job at Fox, but network chief Roger Ailes is rumored to be "fed up" with the Alaskan. (More Todd Palin stories.)
