With America struggling, we need "a leader who can raise us all up to a level we didn’t know we had in us, give us confidence in ourselves, give us a common goal to work toward, and make us believe in and have faith in ourselves again." We need … Tim Tebow, concludes Matthew Dowd in the National Journal. Dowd watched both Tebow (in a post-game appearance) and President Obama (on 60 Minutes) Sunday night, and found that Tebow, not Obama, is the one "offering his team (and the country actually) the leadership they need."
Tebow has "a humbleness born of strength and conviction," and "faith in his own teammates." Obama, on the other hand, "points fingers and refuses to admit his own mistakes or weaknesses." Listen to him talk and you won't feel any better about our country's prospects. What we need is a return to the Obama of the '08 campaign, who "offered a change from the bitter politics in Washington [and] made us feel we could win." Tebow lifted a losing team, and the US needs a leader who can lift us in the same way. (More Tim Tebow stories.)
