Judge Frees Final Suspect in Holloway Case

A judge in Aruba today freed the last suspect jailed in connection with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, telling prosecutors they had no case. Jordan Van der Sloot walked free days after his two fellow suspects, CNN reports. Police re-arrested all three last month after prosecutors claimed to have new evidence related to Holloway's 2005 disappearance. Chances of a trial now appear bleak.

Witnesses saw all three men with Holloway the night she disappeared. "We thought there was a lot of material that urged them to tell us what happened, but they kept their mouths shut," a prosecutor told  the AP. "They were apparently very well instructed by their lawyers." Holloway's parents, meanwhile, have commissioned a boat to resume searching for her body.
