A man in Australia is thanking his lucky stars his wife has a penchant for word games. A few years back, Georgie Fletcher began battling an international opponent she'd never met: Missouri resident Beth Legler. Chatting as they played, the two happened to discuss Fletcher's husband, who wasn't feeling well. When Fletcher described his symptoms, Legler showed them to her physician husband Larry, who diagnosed the man and told him to rush to a hospital.
There, doctors found a 99% blockage near Simon Fletcher's heart, which could have killed him if he hadn't made it to the hospital right away. "Had Larry not sent that message, I don't think Simon would have gone to the doctor that day," says Mrs. Fletcher. Adds her husband, "I'd really like to put my arms around him and give him a big squeeze." The couples have still never met, but they feel like intimate friends, CBS Atlanta reports.
