President Obama's re-election campaign has unveiled its first ad and there is no mention of hope or change. Instead, the ad attacks "secretive oil billionaires" and defends Obama's record on clean energy and jobs, the Wall Street Journal reports. The ad, titled "Unprecedented," will air in the battleground states of Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin ahead of Tuesday's State of the Union address.

The ad directly responds to an ad from the Koch brothers' Americans for Prosperity group attacking Obama over a loan made to now-bankrupt solar energy firm Solyndra. "President Obama kept his promise to toughen ethics rules and strengthen America's energy economy," a voiceover says. An Obama campaign spokesman says they wanted to let America know that the Solyndra attack ad "is funded by oil executives who oppose the president’s plan to eliminate tax breaks for oil companies and oppose investment in clean energy to keep America running on oil."
