Angry 'Get Back on Board!' T-Shirts a Hit in Italy

The Italian coast guard officer who ordered the Costa Concordia captain to get back on his foundering ship has entered the lexicon with his angry command. "Vada a bordo, cazzo!" T-shirts are all the rage in Italy, reports Reuters. The phrase has been translated into "Get back on board, dammit!," though it might be a little earthier given the all-purpose "cazzo" insult, more like "Get back on board, dick!" Italy's Lepiasoft web agency says it's taking orders from around the world, and GlobalPost notes that plenty of English-language knockoffs are available online, too.

"We liked this phrase a lot because it was said by Captain (Gregorio) De Falco in an extremely difficult situation, it really impressed us," says the Lepiasoft owner, who hopes (maybe stretching things a wee bit too far) that it will become a motto for Italy as it tries to rebound financially.
