DSK Charged in French Hooker Ring

Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been charged in yet another sex scandal, and this time it's his native France doing the charging. The onetime IMF chief was interviewed by magistrates today and subsequently charged over his alleged links to a prostitution ring, reports the BBC. Strauss-Kahn admits attending numerous sex parties, in what's become known as the "Carlton affair," after the hotel in which they allegedly took place. But he denies knowing that women there were prostitutes, or that they were procured with company funds.

"He firmly declares that he is not guilty of these acts and of never having the least inkling that the women he met could have been prostitutes," says one of Strauss-Kahn's lawyers. "Consorting with prostitutes" is legal in France. (More Dominique Strauss Kahn stories.)
