Mitt Romney was mostly business on his Tonight Show appearance last night, but he managed to get in a joke at Rick Santorum's expense. "Press secretary," Romney joked when Jay Leno asked what words he most associated with Santorum, a dig at his rival's recent run-in with a New York Times reporter. Asked for one-word descriptions of other Republicans, Romney described Rep. Paul Ryan as "creative," Donald Trump as "huge," Nikki Haley as "energetic," and Chris Christie as "indomitable."
After his jab, Romney called Santorum a "good guy," who has run a solid campaign, and said he hasn't ruled out picking him for vice president." I'm happy with him saying he'd like to be part of an administration with me, nothing wrong with that. If he's the VP that's better. I'd rather be the president, let him be the vice president," he said. Santorum, when told about Romney's press secretary quip, shook his head before saying, "Someone needs to work on his jokes," reports ABC. (More Mitt Romney stories.)
