Dmitry Medvedev thinks Mitt Romney is stuck in the 1970s ... and David Axelrod apparently disagrees. It's more like the 1960s, he says. In an appearance on CBS This Morning, the Obama campaign honcho quipped that Romney "must watch Mad Men and think it's the evening news. He is just in a time warp." The Obama campaign is increasingly latching onto that "out of touch" theme, and Axelrod certainly didn't hold back, calling Romney "oblivious to the experiences of everyday people." And in terms of his policies, he's totally retro, too, according to Axelrod.
"He wants to cut taxes for the very wealthy, cut Wall Street loose to write its own rules and he thinks that this somehow is going to produce broad prosperity for Americans. We've tested that. It's failed." (More David Axelrod stories.)
