Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees missed the London premiere of his Titanic Requiem this week, notes AP, and British media reports say they know why: He's near death in the hospital. The Press Association and the Sun tabloid say Gibb's family is at his bedside. If the reports are true, he slipped into a coma after developing pneumonia. Gibb, 62, has been battling serious health problems for years. His twin, Maurice, died in 2003. (More Bee Gees stories.)
